Kim and Rick
While fifteen years passed between our first meeting and our wedding it is interesting to note that the first words spoken to me by my husband were “I Do”. Both traveling solo, we randomly boarded the same train in Rome in 1992. In search of directions to the bus once in the city center I asked if anyone spoke English … Rick responded “I do”! After a brief romantic “Roman Holiday” and we both returned to our respective countries (US & Australia) our paths did not physically cross again for eleven years … but once they did it was love at second sight!
The thing that occurs for us as most striking about our wedding day is the stunning collection of friends and family that organized to join us in our celebration. It practically took our breath away walking down the aisle and looking out on all the faces that have meant so much to both of us throughout our lives … all assembled under one roof! We are still pinching ourselves over the four back-to-back near perfect days that graced our wedding weekend and allowed our guests to enjoy Chicago and each other under the best possible conditions.
One’s wedding is an experience unlike any other with the colliding of a lifetime of friends and family … almost too much to digest in the fleeting moments allotted the celebration. Prior to seeing our video the detailsoccurred for us asfuzzy at best. We are thriled with the way the videomanages to bringthe day back to life for us and will allow us to relive the many treasured moments of our wedding day throughout our marriage.
