I absolutely love this look, the crumb-catcher bodice top, on gowns. It’s a twist on the classic strapless gown. It adds character to the dress. To make a style a little softer, designers have softened it with sheer layers or lace. This still allows the bride to rock her look, but yet keep the feminine and romantic feel.

The asymmetrical neck line has always been around in runway. It has now crossed over to bridal. It’s a great transition and another alternate neckline for the wedding gown. It carries over from the goddess trend that has been appearing in many designer lines. This might be the look for a fashion forward bride.

Short hemlines are a big trend. A lot of women are getting married in a less formal setting. If it’s a destination on the beach, a short dress would fit right in. So if you’re a bride who isn’t up for the “grand” wedding, this might be a choice for you. These dresses are also absolutely adorable.

Tiers are another huge trend. Brides are asking for dresses that are airy and light in weight. Layers create that fresh, dreamy, and soft look, without being too heavy on the body. Tulle skirts have been seen all over runway, and now they are in wedding gowns. This is a chance for designers to add volume to a wedding gown, yet keep it light at the same time.

A high neckline offers sophistication in a gown. You can add a little something to this style by accenting with a V-cut back for example, or add detail to the gown with lace, tulle, or flowers. This works so well because the cut is a classic look, which is timeless. It’s a way to be sophisticated and sexy at the same time.
